Laguiole en Aubrac
It was 1829 when a modest peasant knife was born in Laguiole, small mountain village in Aveyron (southwestern France). Its renowned bee, a symbol of prestige and quality adorning its spring, made it the most famous knife in France.
The work done at the forge of Laguiole en Aubrac produces all the metal elements that make up the knife before arriving in the hands of the cutlers who will undertake polishing and the finishing stage, such as the engraving and decoration of blades and springs, etc.
A truly handmade product, beautifully finished. To be used, and cherished for generations.
